A Nigerian youth leader, Prince Sam Onuegbunam, has been appointed as an Ambassador to Türkiye by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Europe.
The appointment, which has been welcomed by members of the Nigerian diaspora community, is seen as a recognition of Onuegbunam’s contributions to youth development and leadership within and beyond Nigeria.
According to sources within the organisation, the new role will see him represent the interests of Nigerian youths in Türkiye, while also strengthening engagement between Nigerian youth communities across Europe and the Middle East.
His responsibilities are expected to include promoting youth-focused initiatives, fostering collaboration among Nigerian youth groups, and supporting programs that enhance leadership, education, and cultural exchange.
The development has drawn commendations from stakeholders, who described the appointment as a step toward strengthening the voice and representation of Nigerian youths on the international stage.
