The Diaspora arm of the National Youth Council of Nigeria has called on Nigerian youths worldwide to embrace unity, resilience, and collective progress as Christians celebrate Easter.

In an Easter message, the President of NYCN Diaspora, Collins Osazee Idahosa, described the season as a powerful reminder of hope, sacrifice, and renewal, urging young Nigerians abroad to remain committed to excellence and national development.

“Easter reminds us that no matter the challenges we face, there is always a path to renewal,” he said. “Let this season inspire us to bridge divides and work together for the progress of our nation.”

He encouraged diaspora youths to remain law-abiding and continue projecting the positive values Nigerians are known for globally, stressing the importance of unity in driving meaningful change.

London Summit Announced

Building on this message of renewal, NYCN Diaspora announced its 62nd Anniversary Symposium and Gala Award, scheduled for August 22, 2026, at the Hilton London Kensington.

The event is expected to convene Nigerian youths, professionals, and key stakeholders from across the globe to discuss the role of the diaspora in Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

Organisers say the summit will feature high-level discussions, expert panels, and networking sessions, while the gala segment will honour outstanding Nigerians in areas such as entrepreneurship, education, and community service.

“This is more than a celebration—it is a strategic platform to align our vision for a prosperous Nigeria,” Idahosa added.

Call for Participation

NYCN Diaspora reiterated its commitment to empowering Nigerian youths globally and fostering stronger collaboration across communities. Registration and sponsorship opportunities for the event are now open, with organisers inviting interested participants to engage with the council’s secretariat.

The council noted that the upcoming summit will serve as a key milestone in advancing youth-driven development and strengthening Nigeria’s global youth network.
